Back for one of the Potter Premieres (possibly the third? Or fourth?) a few of my friend were discussing doing Marauders-era dress uniforms. Their design was sketched by Sheena, and after a bit of fabric hunting I ended up with a set of Slytherin robes.

A few things about this costume:

I hate velvet. I can't stand to touch it. I wear this costume with gloves because it's the only way I can stand to without freaking out. But velvet was the only thing that would be as dark a black as we wanted, so....

I don't actually like HP that much. I'm a fan of the concepts, but the execution always felt weak for me. I do love the Lestrange family however, and Bella is kinda awesome.

Velvet is HARD to photograph, so our details get lost. But there are Slytherin patches on our shoulders, and a black green and silver metallic lining to the hood and sleeves that resembles snakes.
