Description
This costume though the design is far simpler than Rasler was just about as hard as rasler.
The shirt was made based on a t shirt pattern with out the sleeves. I then made the collar by taking two 24" by 25" cuts of the dark gray fabric then folding the 24" side over so that I had a 12" by 25" strip I sewed up the open edge and then folded the 25" side over to make a circle and sewed that edge. Next the inside edges of the yellow bias tape were sewn to the purple/blue strip then the outside edges were hand sewn onto the collar and the shirt. Finally I had to hand sew the collar onto the shirt.
The armband was made smilar to the collar them painted with acrylic paint mixed with a fabric medium to match the bias tape.
The mp3 player/ necklace was sculpted out of air dry clay. them the laynard was made by using a shoelace as the string and using craftfoam to be the connector. A thin string was also glued inside the craft foam and attached to the actual mp3. Then they were all painted to match in an off white color
The headphones are made of craftfoam. The headband is 2 pieces of craftfoam with 2 strips of wire inside to shape to your head. The earpieces were made using a bevel technique to make nice crisp edges.
The wig I styled from a stright base I found off ebay. The spikes were made 2 at a time using styling gel only on the tips and then aquanet for the rest.
The pants were altered from a size 16 pair of capries. The pockets were made from extra material cut off the leg to make them into shorts and then hand sewn to the shorts.
The belt was made from extra fabric from the shirt to match in color. It was just a folded cut of long fabric then turned inside out. I use velcrow to hold the ends together. and the buckle was actually posterboard painted silver (painted on the glossy side bc it makes for a nicer shine)
Finally the bootcovers were made over a croc like plastic clog base from walmart, with a 4" highheel inserted in the clog bc im tooo short. The shoe cover was made based off sarcasm-hime's bootcover tutorial. Then I added the stripes and some darts in the front of the shoe to make it shape to the clog better. Finally the cover was glued on with shoe goo to the clog base. **** beware if anyone tries this high heel insertion method just be careful of how much room the top of you foot will get between the top of the shoe and the bottom of the heel bc with plastic clogs like I had the area of the clog doesn't give any so I ended up with some really nasty bruises on one of my feet but, I also used this method with sneakers and it works great there bc you can loosen the laces. If you have base shoes that won't give you an still do this I would either suggest getting a lower heel, larger base shoe, or just wearing them for shorter amounts of time.*****
ok I think thats it :)
