My very first costume. I've always loved Yuna, but I found her FFX and FFX-2 outfits too complex to make. I loved her Kingdom Hearts II appearance, so I chose that one instead.

+++ Con list:
- AnimeCon 2009 (Almelo)
- Abunai! Con 2009 (Zwolle)

+++ AnimeCon 2009 experiences:
First con, first cosplay, first time being stared at when eating in a bakery!
I loved wearing Yuna a lot. About 3-4 people even took my picture, which I didn't expect at all. I forgot some of the poses, but luckily I knew her Final Fantasy X-2 one, so I used it a lot.
AnimeCon was a lot of fun to attend, although I must say walking on heels was a real terror. It was very hard to keep walking for a long while and Dance Dance Revolution was near impossible to do... My wig was also a disaster. Aspiring Yuna cosplayers, do NOT use tons of hairspray! It does help your hair to stand up well, but it makes it all spikey and not hair-like at all.

+++ Creation notes:
> Wig + tail hair: ordered from CosWorx and styled at home. The tail looks great, but the wig that's meant for my head was a disaster... Styled with Got2B Glue Gel (stupid and confusing Dutch name for it! Dx) and Hairspray.
> Tail: filled with fiberfil and completely sewed by hand. The wings attached to the tail have pastel chalk on them because I couldn't was out the "sketch" lines I made on them. In the end it made the wings look better.
> Top: made out of slightly stretchy t-shirt fabric. It was very comfortable to wear. It was made with a slightly different design than the top from the game is, but it came out just fine. (There are pieces of fabric that cross eachother like in Yuna's FFX summoner outfit.) I had to alter a pre-existing pattern for the top itself (it was in some magazine) and made up the hood pattern myself because I had no reference. The string in the top is made out of dark blue ribbon.
> Long sideskirt: First piece of clothing I ever sewed with a sewing machine and completely custom pattern. It took a while, but I adore the end result! Due to wrong washing the white parts where recoloured to light blue, but it's no disaster as it doesn't look off.
> Short skirt: Again 100% custom pattern, because I couldn't find an existing one. The upper part is tight, but it starts to wrinkle around the widest hips part.
> Shoes: I bought the last laced pair of black boots that looked like Yuna's that were available in town! I was very lucky here. The heels are killers and there are belts on it, but I managed to survive in them. :3
> Hipbags: I bought a black one for my stuff since you're not allowed to carry any other bags on you on the con where I went. It's not as stylish as Yuna's FFX-2 Gunner hipbag, but it didn't look very out of place. The other bag is a photocamera bag that belongs to my dad.

+++ Abunai! goals:
