I am having a passionate torrid love affair suddenly with the color yellow, and have always liked adorable, comfortably flirty dresses like Asuka's. So, what better to do, than to make her costume! The first version was too small, so I decided to remake it, and instead of the pleats that were on the original pattern, I did mini-pleats/gathers so that the skirt itself would "puff" a bit more on its own. The straps are actual ribbons, since I'm not very good at making straps, with a side zipper, and a light yellow lining on the dress itself.
Shoes are from Cosworx, second version of my wig is from Amphigory (the first one was from Cosworx as well, but the color just wasn't suited for my skin tone), and the earpieces are from EBay.
For Otakon, I decided to remake the dress. Okay, so it wasn't entirely voluntary. I took the original dress apart to fix the lining (make it seamless, and look more professional), and shorten it about an inch. Erm...that inch turned into about six inches. >< Thus, making my dress a bit shorter than I am comfortable with wearing. So, the fabric is now in the scrap pile, and new, lighter yellow fabric is on its way! I also purchased a new pattern, which isn't as accurate, but is more flattering on me. XD Hope this one turns out better!
