Ikuto Tsukiyomi

Shugo Chara!

Last Updated: 04-28-2010

This cosplay debuted at Kawaii Kon 2010 which was from April 16-18, 2010 at the Hawaii Convention Center.

I had a lot of fun wearing this cosplay even if it was a really simple one! I always wanted to wear some type of animal ears and tail so Ikuto was the perfect excuse to do so. Plus, his hair was awesomely blue, a color that I wanted to wear for the longest time. <3

My favorite part of this cosplay had to be the kitty ears and tail that I created for it. I made them more sturdy and they lasted through the whole Kon. Sadly, I lost the tail somewhere on the way home so...I'll have to sew another one with the extra velvet fabric I have.

Amu and I were recognized far more often than I thought we would. I thought that Shugo Chara was a more obscure series and no one would know who we were. However, I was proved wrong because so many people screamed "Amuto!!!" and chased after us for pictures. Thanks for all the wonderful support and compliments at Kawaii Kon 2010 everyone!

Sorry if anyone notices that my face is darker than my neck... I used foundation and forgot to put it all the way down my neck. So it looked strange and you could tell my face was darker with makeup. -fail- xD

Finally, much thanks to Cosworx for my Scruffy L wig! I ordered the L version because it just seemed more versatile for future use... Anyways, it's one of the best wigs that I own because the Midnight Blue color is perfect and the fiber is so soft/silky. I don't ever plan on giving up this wig. >:D

(BTW, this is the first cosplay I officially completed with no help from my mom. I bought most of the pieces at the store and sewed on all the details myself. Even my kitty ears and tail were handmade by myself. -is so proud- XD)
