I'll admit it. This whole costume was one giant excuse to make a pair of angel wings.

The wings are a wire frame covered with chicken wire, felt, and, you guessed it, feathers, each trimmed and cut to size. They are held in place under a corset.

I made her giant staff as well (the thing is over 7 feet tall) but most unfortunately, it broke in two places when I was loading it into the car to head down to Sakuracon! Sad face!

I am desperately looking forward to a photo shoot with this costume. At Sakuracon, I was sick the day I wore this, and I look pretty miserable in nearly all the photos that were snapped of me there.
