When we were planning our dogsuit!Jou/Duke/Cheerleader group, my friend (TheChilibird) mentioned she also wanted to cosplay Mai. Since we had some time, we decided to do a Mai/Jou duo cosplay as well, and thus this costume was born. ^^ It also served as a nice alternative to change into from the dogsuit, both because it's a little more "normal" looking and it's A LOT cooler. (As much as I love that dogsuit, so glad I could strip down (and still be in cosplay). xD;)
