I love the psychological battling in Death Note, and despite being perky and semi-annoying, I really like Misa. She's so cute, yet so dark and gothy. When the cover for volume 4 came out, I knew that was the outfit for me. Plus, it's one of the few drawings where Misa has blue eyes!

CONSTRUCTION NOTES: Although I had planned to make the shirt from scratch, a lack of time before AX led me to just alter an existing tank top. I already either owned or bought the belts for cheap, and made all the jewelry (in the case of the large cross, spray-painting a cross pendant silver). The gloves, skirt, and wrist blades were made from scratch. No matter how many attempts I made at the torn-up section right above Misa's gloves, I couldn't get it done to my satisfaction. I'm very particular about that section of her outfit and it'll probably be a long time until I'm 100% pleased with my results.

The little Rem plushie was Jinyo's idea, and he made a matching Ryuk to go with his Light/Raito cosplay. (I remade Rem after the first one got destroyed on a plane.) He also had the idea of making my Death Note with a double-sided cover- one side had the accurate markings for Misa's Death Note, while the other side matched his (so the less hardcore fans could recognize it).
