Act II

Last Updated: 10-06-2009

Since I was a child, I loved 'The Wizard of Oz'. I was complete fascinated of 'the wicked witch'... loved the green and the wickedness.
And then comes the musical 'Wicked'. The fascination goes on and the costume of Elphaba is so beautifull, that I really wanted to make it. So... I did...
And here it is!!! *taddaaa* My Elphaba Act II Gown.
I really love this dress!!!

The Skirt:
Made out of a simly ground skirt, with 5 meters round on bottom. The ribbons are made out of different fabrics, in all shades of black, dark blue, dark green, dark red and many others.

The Bodice:
A groundtop with long sleeves, and over it I put a kind of corsage. The corsage is over and over filled with a patchwork-work of different fabrics. Over some I sew also two differnet tulles, to catch the brightness of the colors away turned in more black.
The undertop is made with the same technics, but just with black fabrics.

The Hat:
Made out of a kind of leather imitate. With a wire in the brim.

The Cape:
Chiffon in black. And can be removed.

The MakeUp:
From Kryolan... not from Mac. :(

I think it tooks me about 50 or 60 hours to sew it.

If you have any question, feel free to ask and give me some feedbacks.

I will wear this gown at Ring*Con 09 in Bonn.
