Chobits was a new anime, and at the time there were very few matching Chii and Freya cosplayers. limebarb and I are similar in height, so this duo was appropriate. We did our own spin on the dresses, as we felt the monochrome look to the design was a little boring. Plus, we could play up our 'matchy-ness' by using the contrasting trim.

Construction
I had sewn occasionally in highschool prior to meeting limebarb, but this costume started a very quick-paced learning curve for me. She had me sew all the ruffles for the skirts (7 layers!) and the bows on the corsets/back of trains while she sewed the dresses and corsets. We made the trains retractable, so we could pull it out for pictures yet not have people tripping over them in the hallways. The ears were functional and we could pull out phone cords! They've since been replaced by a less bulky pair that was a gift from firefly-path.net. (Who has amazing Chobits outfits themselves!)
