I love doing different Rukia variants, and when I saw this dress, it was just BEGGING to be made. Not to mention, I just happened to have several yards of green velveteen the exact right colour. I improvised a lot of it, as we have no real idea whether the plaid panel stretches all the way down or not, but I thought that looked prettier than just an inset on the bodice. The jewelry was made with odds and ends I got at Ornamentaia downtown, and I made the candy box out of cardboard and styrofoam blocks.
