Ayame was always one of my dream costumes to make. I love ninjas. I loved the Tenchu games. And they had really good music. I wish I had more serious pictures of this costumes and with better quality but I plan to remake parts of it and wear it again someday so we will see.

The top was made using MCCall's (by Hilary Duff) pattern #M5512 and was shortened and I added elastic to the bottom to make it form fitting.

The pants were made with a severely modified Simplicity Costumes pattern #5359.

Severely modified might not even be extreme enough. I pretty much just needed the pattern to get the yoke and crotch right. And the rest was all modified to work out.

The gloves were purchased and just painted over in acrylic paint.

The arm warmers were just cut out of the same material as the gray on the top and then just had elastic at both ends.

The armor was made of plastic cutting mats and laced with some black ties on the underside.

The medallions (on the belt) were made of Model Magic and painted.

And the shoes were just flip flops with black socks (cut) and then wrapped in some twine-ish stuff. And the ribbon marks were electrical tape. I originally wanted to use ribbon but it kept falling so my mother suggested the tape. Genius plan.
