Slayers costumes are deceptive! A cosplay friend told me this was the simplest costume he'd ever seen me in, but there's a lot of work in here!

Crepe tunic and pants were abandoned for a bodysuit (stupid crepe didn't forgive minor weight fluctuations). Armor is designed to be lightweight and to break off before decapitating a hallway passerby or a rude glomper (though glomping maybe should be risky!) As on Zelgadiss and Xelloss, there is tone-on-tone embroidery to echo character theme. The Sword of Light glows through an etched flame; the Sword of Dented (our term for the ordinary swords Gourry keeps damaging) hangs across the leather harness -- which was a pain to make, by the way.
