Shuyin
Final Fantasy X-2

This was a collaboration between myself an Justkiwi. I'm amazed at how decent it turned out, given that we were working on this costume 500 miles apart and that I found out about this barely a month before the con. Justkiwi did the top and ordered the wig, while I did the shoes and pants and styled the wig.
The pants I simply got from Goodwill and modified; I'm not very satisfied with the color/style/material/it overall, but I guess it served our purposes well enough.
The shoes were a lot of fun. I bought platform sandals and knee-high boots to make them with, and had Kiwi send me the leftover yellow fabric from the top. I sawed off the heels of the boots with a fruit knife, and sliced them up so they would resemble Shuyin's shoes, and glued them to the platforms. Then I used interfacing for additional support and shape, and then covered the whole thing with yellow fabric. I finished off by using the leather from the boots for the black toe-coverings, and then used pleather and belt buckles for the shoe fastenings (which started ripping at the con, ohnoes I'll have to remake them).
Yeah. Fun stuff.
