Termariel (when she was alive) trained to be a performer. She desired to become a famous musician like her teacher Modo Shubashii who she greatly admired. She took up the same instrument as her teacher, the Erhu (a two stringed wooden object played with a bow).

Often when she plays she is able to recall her former life, memories of her family and friends that the darkness keeps supressed from her. Important lessons taught to her by Master Shubashii occasionally find their way to her consciousness while she plays. Termariel is convinced that somewhere in those lessons there lies am answer as to how she can escape from the prison the darkness keeps her trapped in.
