Description

Photos by Rei! Thank-you my lovley~
And thankyou to Asham, for lending me her wonderful book of Cards

I love this costume! I still find it really cute.
It's not popular since it was never in the anime, but this is actually my favourite of Sakura's outfits.

It wasn't very expensive to make because its just cheap cotton, and some stretch knit in the petticoats.

Use a truly HORRIFIC pattern for this dress, which I ended up pretty much redrawing the whole thing because it was so dodgy lol, but that was a good learning experience.

The petticoats are made of 4 tiered layers of gathered white cotton, with half layers of white stretch knit circle skirts over the top for the ruffles.

The dress itself there's not much to say about, the sleeves are obviously interfaced and thus quite uncomfy.

The hat, the hat, the hat.... I call this my 'GOOD POSTURE' hat, because while it is surprisingly well balanced on my head due to the long tails of it, I can't really tip my head much while wearing it. It's nothing complicated and while it took a while to stuff, it was actually very easy to make, and is simply tightly filled with teddy-bear stuffing to hold it's shape. No wire or anything funky like that, it's really kinda like a giant plushy on my head lol.

The sun brooch was handmade from paperclay and painted with gold rub'n'buff.

Sakura doesn't have any shoes is the one picture of this costume because the picture doesn't go down far enough, so I just did something simple, using white shoes with pink and gold bows to match the dress.
