Basically, a closet cosplay. I wanted to do a gijinka for Kumoricon, but I don't have enough time or money to buy a wig and make a fancy costume. I found beautifly, which is pretty simple, and I grabbed pieces of my clothing that worked with the design. I did end up making the wings, though.

The wings are made of felt with wire along the edges so that they stand up. Originally I had some cheap hair clips from Joann's to keep them on my head, but after a while I took them off and replaced them with some nice big clips from dollar store hair accessories.
It took more than five hours for me to sew the wings together, and I made the pattern by scratch.

If I do another gijinka, it will be something cooler than Beautifly.
