Description

I’m returning to my roots with this costume, like Dashi said. ''D I feel so nostalgic, Edward was one of the first costumes I made!

It seems we’ve become regular hosts with Bitenshi at a Cosplay Dating Show we’ve been arranging with a small group of people at different conventions here in Finland. We (we as in Bitenshi and myself, the show itself had been arranged a few times before) hosted it first time at Tracon IV with Final Fantasy theme, and since the result was successful, we ended up staying in the team. :3
Bitenshi was going to cosplay Edward for Animecon VII, and since we wanted to keep using themes, we decided to go for Fullmetal Alchemist. I’m actually a few centimetres shorter than Bitenshi, so I needed a character who was about the same height with Ed. Surprisingly Envy isn’t that much taller (according to the official height chart) and I figured the costume would be fairly easy (and cheap) to make, so… Envy it was.

I had all these cool and epic plans for my wig, but I ran out of time (…yet again) and was too scared that I’d ruin the whole thing, so I didn’t carry them out. Now I’m glad I didn’t, since I doubt the result would’ve looked good. 8/

The costume was surprisingly comfortable to wear, but after seeing pictures of myself in it, I don’t think I’ll be having a photoshoot anytime soon. I want to do something for my thighs before that. Oh, self-esteem, how I love thee. </3

Special thanks to Weenyah, who drew my Ouroboros tattoo~
