After making the DW6's Xiao Qiao, I just wanted to make all her other costumes from the previous games :D!
This costume was "in planning" for a while... and I really didn't crank it up until a few weeks before Otakon '09, so I was really rushing to finish it at the end. It's not 100% done yet because I still need to add a few details here and there, but overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it.

95% of the costume is made out of brocade... which means lots and LOTS of fraying!!! -_- I love the colors and patterns of the brocade though (cherry blossoms, bamboos, and chinese seals). I really like how they contrast each other since each one has a splash of diff. colors on the design!

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but under the sleeves and the lower back of her costumes are dyed in gradient pink... the fabric took the dye really well! The sheer fabric for her butt flaps (I dunno what else to call them, haha) are also dyed in gradient green at the bottom.

The boots are probably the hardest part of the costume... it was my first time making boot covers and I only had 2 days to make it at the time, so it was such a rush job, and I'd like to make another pair in the future.

I only made 1 fan since I was pressed on time, but having already made 2 fans for my previous Xiao Qiao costume, this time it wasn't as complicated as those ones :) I'll eventually make the other one though when I have time...
