Description

This was finished in the beginning of 2009, but I never really got around to wearing it. The original wig I had was a darker purple, but her hair is a fuschia. So I made a new one. For some reason, in the second season, it takes on a brighter shade of fuschia. I wanted to dye it a shade darker, but the white cape held me back. I was worried about the color bleeding on it. Oh well. It's a difficult color and it looks absolutely horrible on everyone. I was also a lot darker than I generally am when I debuted it. So there was much failing to be had on Friday of Otakon. XD

I used a two way stretch faux leather for the piece on the top and it was stitched down to the white body suit. The 'sea shell' bra, as I like to call it, obviously has inserts and is also connected because it's difficult to wear otherwise. Believe me. I tried. I should have used a two way stretch satin because I had trouble making the gloves and the boot covers, but it all worked out in the end. I used interfacing in the collar of the cape, but nothing special went into it. It's the same pattern I used for my other Cornelia costumes, outside of the collar. The wig is actually two wigs (;_;) because I was the last to realize that cosworx sells extensions. I thickened up the wig and added extensions to the sides for the braids. I also have the leather bands that she wears on her arms, but I wasn't in it for very long and ended up carrying the gloves, so I didn't use them. Only one more version of Corni to do. =/ Makes me sad.
