...I made this for Takeriya_Hagi because he said that Havel was his dream cosplay but I think his best favorite is still Cain ^^. I kind of like the theatrical make up I put on his face using the stage make-up stuff from Japan even though Havel is not from there...haha.
Well for my last costume list, I wrote too many things not about sewing/crafting so I will stick to those for this one...
My regular Trinity Blood costume construction plus...yeah, more applique making. I practied by failing when I did Abel ROM VII costume. So I did more practicing this time for Havel. Yeah all of them were done by regular home sewing machine zig-zag function. My free hand foot never worked...I know there could be a way to use that stuff but I don't know so...(terrible)
Haha I have sewn many different materials with my minimum sewing machine and worst 3 fabric was:
2. four way spandex and
3. applique making...
Well, after I sewed them on the cape, they are too big but I liked it. No more re-doing!!!
Overall sewing finish is....hm.....?
but my Napoleon collar making worked the best on his cape compair to my other costumes. I draw a base pattern and adjusted to bodice I sewed prior to that. It worked this time. I wonder how the theater people make them??
About dusk pattern, I used the commercial pattern and altered it versus my originally drafted patterns for former costumes for Takeriya_Hagi. So I had to face the sizing issues...it was harder than drafting by my hand.
Stand collar and sleeves were made separately by my hands-that's the only way.
I don't like the yoke design for the dusk (just me), but when I researched the commercial patterns for dusk, some of them had the pleating on the bottom. I was so tempted to make that way even though the original picture for this never had that. I resisted it...sigh...
-Mom, one of these days, may I make the Trinity Blood costume all the way I want?
