Athena/saori kido

Saint Seiya

for the dress I used a semi shiny crinkled fabric for that Greek look. I used bridal satin to line the dress and also so you couldn't see threw the dress in the sun light. I wear a hoop skirt under it to give it a full look. I know her dress is flat but it looks better to me with a little fullness. It closes with a hidden zipper though I wish I used loops and ribbons for the back.

The cincher was so fun to make! I made my own pattern that looked like the design she uses. I used a stretch pvc/lycra gold fabric. I didn't want people to see the lines were I sewed the boning into the cincher so I made another pattern from muslin and sewed boning in to it then sewed the muslin around the cincher inside. Also this helped reinforced the gold fabric for the loops and ribbons in the back. The design is made from the left over material I had but I am going to used lame if I want to remake it. I added jewels according to the photo I had.

The arm band, choker and hair piece are made from wonderflex and the blue necklace are clear beads I painted blue. The wig is bought from ebay that I cut to how I liked it.
