Madame Red/ angelina durless
Last Updated: 12-30-2009
well i started reading kuroshitsuji a while ago and i when i saw madame red i just had to make that outfit. but at the time my life revolved around my alice cosplay so i put it off, then i got swamped with some commissions so ive been working on those. now though since we started making corsets at where i work i have once again been inspired to sew and this time i will.
i decided to stay mainly within the time period which is late victorian, and at first i was going for having the corset, bloomers, petticoat, chemise, and bustle underneath the skirt and jacket but since the petticoat made my skirt look bulky and the velveteen that the skirt is made from just didnt look right so in th eend im skipping out on the chemise, and petticoat simply to reduce bulkyness.
i do have really cute bloomers that work just as well underneath the dress though. and my corset is also just as nice and will reduce the bulkiness that a chemise would have created.
okay well since i first started this, i have made
~corset (needs to be boned)
~a within the period drawstring purse
~the draped overskirt
~a crapload of ruffles that went on both the skirt and the overskirt
all in all i would say that my madame red is basically done...as soon as i have the right wig for it and the time ill be posting up photos
