Description

Ok so my favorite character in this game isn't really a character....Summons are worth cosplaying too!

Shoot location: St John's Cathedral, Brisbane, Australia.

Photographer: Floatyman

It's not a detailed costume, but I thought the design was really very beautiful and had to make it.

Th dress is self-explanatory, I don't really need to go into it I think. The veil is two layers, with a blue over-layer and a black underlayer with triangular edges (I also added some gems, call it artistic license or whatever you want). The veil is sewn into the wig, because I could not find an effective way of securing it as a separate item.

The crown is made from pvc piping for the base ring, and plastic glue spatulas (lol the inelegance...) for the spikes, which are inserted into holes drilled into the piping. Painted with good old rub n buff.

The starchild was the only really challenging part of this costume. The globe light in the center was purchased off ebay (I have enhanced the glow slightly in some of the more brightly lit photos, but the ball does emit its own light - in your choice of 7 colours!). The 8 spikes of the star are made from acetate plastic sheeting, folded into three sided pyramids, with the base of each cut to fit the curve of the ball. Painted with acrylics and sealed with gloss varnish.

The makeup (never againnnnnn. I hate not being able to scratch my nose) is Kyrolan aquacolour - in bright white, and iridescent blue.
