So, I decided I'd revamp my Zexion cosplay from Halloween 2008 into something con-worthy, and with (as is generally the custom for me) a trial run on Halloween, minus a few things I'd only have times and funds to get/make afterward.
I'm reusing the coat, pants, gloves and binder I wore for my first Zexion and for Vexen, and managed to get new boots (and said boots, I did plan on adding onto to get the curvy top piece of the boot, but the perfect pair I found are wayyyyy too expensive to screw around with so that's been abandoned...), and this one has a COMPLETELY new and far better wig, which was one hell of a trial. Also remade the lexicon entirely for Anime North 2010 (pretty simple; new blank hardcover sketchbook, matboard for raised pieces, and silver paint Sharpie for the colouring. And assloads of stencils drawn out beforehand. But for Halloween, I just fixed up last year's due to time constraints.

And, I gave it a last wear by sprucing it up and competing with it (and wearing it to) Video Games Live when it toured my city. It got a good reception, but no winner. Sigh. (Finished somewhere in the top five of a dozen, though. Certainly not too bad.) And I got my lexicon pages autographed at the meet and greet. Plus various other things like emails and "You rock!" signatures. Not getting rid of the book now...
