After two long years of work, frustration, procrastination and embroidering this costume is finally complete.

I started working on Kami a few weeks after the game was released. I wanted to try my best and decided to hand-embroider the yellow flame-outlines on the kimono. I don't know how many hours I spent sitting and stitching, almost scratching my eyeballs out, because it felt like I wasn't making any progress at all.

In the end, I think it was totally worth all the effort and I'm really proud of the final result.

This was also my first time wearing contact lenses! I've been afraid of contacts all my life. It just didn't seem right to intentionally put a piece of whatever-they-are-made-of on my eyeballs. o_O
But then I saw those creepy yellow cat-eyes and I decided to give them a try.

The kanabo was also a lot of fun to make and a neat addition to my growing collection of ginormous props.
