Samurai Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2. I liked this outfit immediately for its badass potential as well as for the fact that it is extremely modest, especially by X-2 standards.
Everything you see me wearing was white when I started. I'd never dyed anything before, and found the gradient dyeing surprisingly easy as long as you keep a close eye on it and always keep the fabric moving in the dye so you don't get a harsh edge line.
The armor is made with Amethyst Angel's polystyrene over foam sheets method, shaped over a gas stove, trimmed with braid, painted, and laced together. I do have a helmet, but I kept knocking it off my head because I had to carry the sword on my shoulder, and unfortunately it broke before I could get photos. I will repair it and try again.
The sword was made by Mike at fantasyprops.com, whom I can't recommend highly enough. It's fiberglass over a foam core, and weighs probably less than 3 pounds.
