For me, this character was one of those "Bitter-Sweet" cosplays.
It was "Sweet" for several reasons. The biggest reason being, I cosplayed Sebastian when the anime was first starting, so I got the opportunity to enjoy this character before the series became very popular and had EVERYONE wanting to cosplay it.

However, the "Bitter" is that I decided to cosplay this guy for, mostly, all the wrong reasons. I legitimately enjoy the Kuroshitsuji series, but the BIG reason I cosplayed this guy was to impress this woman I had a crush on (This woman, happening to be a huge Black Butler fangirl.) But, of course, this all happened before I found out she was already engaged to another man >.> oh well.

~Reason for Retirement
As I stated earlier, my reasons for cosplaying this character in the first place were for the wrong reasons. So that was one incentive to stop dressing up as the guy.
The other was the wig I wore. I hated that wig. It's ugly, it CONSTANTLY kept getting in my eyes and was all around an uncomfortable wig to wear.

Eventually, I had the wig completely re-styled, changed a few accessories on the costumes and started cosplaying Claude Faustus instead.
