Katamari Damacy

My friend and "Nee-chan" decided two weeks before Ai-Kon that she wanted to be the Prince of All Cosmos. And me, being the fool I am, decided I wanted to match her. Cue me frantically sewing a new cosplay with a week to go, lol.
The fabric is a twill (which I usually dislike due to it's stiffness, but it worked well for this!) and the pattern is one of my new favourite patterns, as it doesn't require separate sleeves. :) Sleeves and I don't get along well. The bottom of the dress is held out by wire, although I should have used a different type to get the true "hoop" effect I wanted.
The 'seeds' are tear-shaped crystals I bought at the fabric store that I hand sewed on with a bit of help from a friend. Took us two days to do the beads, and there's not even that many, all things considered!
The headpiece was fun to make. I didn't want a true Katamari head, so we made my head from two soda bottles that we butchered the top off of, and spray-painted red. 'Seeds' were glued on, and then leaves from a dollar store wreath that we destroyed were glued to the bottom of the bottles to give them the strawberry appearance. Nee-chan sewed the bottles to my wig, and boom. Instant Katamari head. I ran out of time to make a proper Katamari ball, but I might make one for future photoshoots.
