This is the coveted RED dress now. The black parts are twill, the red parts are velvet. No, I didn't do the embroidery on the sleeves. This was another eBay find and unfortunately, needs A LOT of work to make it up to par. I was in a bind for a new dress after moving and poor after Christmas, so I got lucky. I had to take it in on the sides nearly 3 inches do to my weight loss in the past year which was a pain and you can see the cinching in the side seams because of it. I have big plans for this dress, which includes fixing the sleeves (grommets aren't period to begin with, but whoever made this dress put them in the wrong places so I have to punch more holes so that the sleeves can sit on my arms straight!), embellishing the front and probably a new overcoat.
