The tunic is made of satin, and I used a robe pattern for it. I'm wearing opaque black tights with it (courtesy of Museum Replicas, Ltd.) and black skimmers, which really don't show up in the pic--a close-enough version of Ukyo's tights, which have soles on them for some reason =P. All the white parts are made of a shiny lycra fabric, so they'd he stretchy and comfortable, but still go with the satin. I made a belt to go with it, but belts don't look good on me, so I left it off *shrugs* The wig is a hold over from a Shampoo costume I'd made the previous year (the buns were seperate).
The bandolier is made from some very- leather-looking vinyl that actually has the look of patchy leather--kind of a nice detail. The little spatulas are made of cardboard painted silver for the handles, and the flat wide part--that you can see is connected with a rivet for an added bit of realism--is actual metal. I had what was basically a thin sheet of metal that about 5 inches wide and rolled up like a big-ass roll of tape--that's what I used.
Now for the big spatula ... it was a bit of a pain because foam board is a bitch to cut sometimes, but fortunately I got it out of the way first. Yes, it's all made of foam board, except for the rivets connecting the flat part to the handle, and the brown "leather" wrapped around the handle. Oh, the ring was another story--foam board is just TOO hard to cut, as I already mentioned, to make a ring like that ... so what I did was I took two thin metal rings that I got at a hardware store (I think they were made for capping pipes with or something), glued them together, sandwiching the end of the spatula handle between them, covered them with tape, then glued cardboard over the outsides (since cardboard is easier to paint than metal) then I sprayed it silver along with the foam board.
Yes, I know the close-up makes me look like Xena dressed as Ukyo ;/
