This was actually my first time making a corset (or corset-like bodice) for a costume! I've boned things before, but always for structure and never with the intent of modifying the shape of my waist. Unfortunately, as a newb, the first edition did NOTHING for my waist, although it did tuck the lovehandles a bit. The modifications I made for AWA definitely gave it more corset-like structure, however. The shorts and tiered organza train combo were my original creation for the bottom of this costume, which at the time, had not yet been released in official art. I like to consider the altered version I wore at AWA the "concert version" and the original the "CD cover" version, but for simplicity's sake, I'm combining the two on cos.com.
