To be honest, I've been dying to do the costume for a long time. Tenchu is my absolute favorite video game, of all time- always has been. And Ayame is the original bad-ass, sexy ninja girl!

The costume itself was amazingly easy to make. Both pants and top were designed from patterns I designed. For the top, I added a fishnet strip, and placed a zipper in the back to wear it easily- the collar/cowl-neck is designed extra large. The pants are made of the same course fabric, with deep slits down the sides, detailed with elastic. The cuffs of the pants snap shut, and have ribbons that tie down the legs, to the sandals. The obi-belt is a tie-belt, made of pleather, with two metal accent pieces at the end, while the obi is made of a soft gray satin, with special elastic ties inside to secure the swords.

My arm-guards were made out of bits 'n pieces of things. The sleeves were from the fishnet top I chopped up for the strip on the top. The "armor" came from pieces of a pair of soccer shin-guards and a back knee-pad set, which I massively disassembled, painted, and added elastic to to properly secure them. The two swords are two toy daggers from two ninja toy sets, and I threw in my bag of dice for RP-ing as an extra accessory. Finally, I'm wearing a ponytail clip, on top.
