Giriko

Golem Glove version

Soul Eater

Last Updated: 11-09-2009

So this is my cosplay of Giriko from Soul Eater. Most of the stuff was bought and then modified if necessary.

Bought stuff includes: white collared shirt, blue jeans, necklace, utility pouches and belt, shoes and socks (duh), bike chain.

Modifications: Took the sleeves off of the shirt, slimmed it up a bit, and then hemmed the sleeve holes. Cut the squares into the bottom of the jeans. Had to fix the big pouch since I bought it broken. Added straps to attach the utility belt to the white belt.

Rest I made. The white belt was just the belt and buckle and really easy to put together. All the earrings and the nose piece were made out of craft sheet metal. The gloves were such a nightmare...but I love how they turned out. First time making gloves and using pleather...so they were a challenge. I took the pattern and enlarged it to two times my actual hand size. And I stuffed it with stuffing from an old pillow so it would keep it's shape. My fingers barely fit in their respective place they're so massive. XD The thing on the back I made from Model Magic. Spray painted it silver and then dry brushed black on in the creases to give it a more weathered look. It's attached with a combo of hot glue and super glue. I would like to put the gloves I made for practice inside these ones to put stuffing between in order to make them more comfy to wear tho.

The wig...was late. Didn't make it in time for the con. So I'll work on that later and post photos when I get them.

I did have pointy teeth, but one of the teeth fell off of the mold...so I couldn't wear them for most of the day. I may experiment with that black tooth stuff so I don't have to worry about the teeth as much...we'll see.

I also want to do sawfoot eventually.
