Ball Gown (Trap)

Last Updated: 05-14-2010

i started on november 9, 2009

made the bodice in 20 minutes

the skirt id cut out and needs to be stitched together now.........

the main body is essentially done now to add teh ruffles and bows and roses and all the whatnots to it and buy a hoop skirt....

i went from being 90% done to it being in pieces again.....on the bright side i recut the bodice and as soon as i get teh spiral steel bones it will be complete and the new cut hits a lower than the original and looks a lot better and more period.

i even lined the inside with a white jaquard to make it it thick and strong. and also to give the eyelets i plan to place up the back somethign to grab onto other than just the pink fabric.

all in all i made the right decision completely re doing the bodice im a lot more comfortable only down side is that because of the way the top is cut its going to push my breasts up like a corset would since i used a victorian corset pattern to make the top......especially since it will have functional laces up the back

wellll now that im pretty much done i am very happy with ciel 2.0 lol! the thing is in 2 pieces the skirt and the bodice. my bodice is steel bones and laces up the back, and i love that the corset pattern actually functioned as a corset! i love it. everythign just sort of fell together after i built the hat, and this is the dres that got me into teh art institute as a fashion design major so im very happy.

it got me into college!
