White Formal/Artbook Formal
Last Updated: 11-20-2009
Y'know, I've come to realize how obsessed I am with Trinity Blood...but this is a good thing.... Well outside of the cost of the costumes, the scarcity of the fanbase, the rarity of English versions of the storyline.... Er, back on topic.
So, having already done my own versions of formal wear for two different versions of Catherine I figured I should probably tackle the one version that THORES actually gave us...sorta, if you count one sepia toned image in the artbook that only shows part of her shoulder and arm. But when has lack of reference images ever stopped me?
Thus far I've gotten the top, skirt, gloves and necklace all started. This by no stretch of the imagination means any of it is even close to done. TB is never done, it's merely 'wearable enough'.
The top is(or will be when done), white cotton velvet lined in white satin with lace, pearls, silver, and hematite beads and applique work. It will also have organza 'shawl' sleeves that I'm debating on adding more beads too. The skirt is a white satin under layer with a grey silk over-draping, to hopefully prevent this whole thing from looking ridiculously bridal. The gloves are antique opera length gloves with applique, beads, and lace, and the necklace is two types of lace covered in beads, gems, pearls, and other shiny bits that call to my magpie soul.
Lastly...this will mark the Curls 5.0, and the ridiculous hair ornamentation contained thereon. The curls may change from con to con as I still try to create the perfect set!
