Videos involving this cosplay:
~~Before March 2010~~~~
So I'm super excited about this cosplay. When I saw Seth Nightlord's artbook pictures, I fell in love. I love Trinity Blood's intricate details and use of styles.
Base fabrics are ivory velvet (train), green stretch poplin, gold bias tape and braiding, black/red fuzzy stuff I had hanging around, and gold fabric (god knows where this came from).
You can find a very detailed process diary in my journals :D
~~Edit: 31 May 2011~~~~~~
So I'm going to Colossalcon, and we're going for more than one day, so I was laying in bed, wondering what cosplay to wear on Friday, and the thought wandered into my head "I could probably finish Seth by friday..." and then I couldn't sleep out of excitement. It will be by no means finished, just "wearable", as people in the TB cosplay business say. I'm very excited, but there's lots of work to be done. Unfortunately I won't have things like a good wig (or a wig at all) or the right shoes, but I'll make due. I want to wear it. So badly.
~~Edit: 4 June 2011~~~~~
So Colossalcon is over, and I think the 45% finished cosplay was a success. The love shown for her was immense, and I can't wait to finish it in a top-notch fashion (read: redo!). I literally finished all of the jacket, hat, and armor in the four days before the convention. So much applique, glue, rhinestones, and paint. I'm calling it a test run. There's lots of things to fix.
~~Edit: 24-26 June 2011 ~~~~~
Another test run with a more detailed jacket at a very small, library-based con. I added gold cording up the sleeves, stars on the moons of the jacket, more cord on the hat and on the back of the hat, rickrack around the collar, and more rhinestones. It looks slightly more legit now. It's interesting how I'm "finishing" it, just so I can start a remake. -_- waste of money and time but I love it too much. It was basically falling apart on me. Won 1st place though. :)
