Well well, my brother really wanted to do a HSM cosplay, especially when he saw cosplayer ashe dalmasca and her boyfriend doing this show, it gave him the inspiration to do "Bop to the top". That's why we decided that, when I'll be on a trip back from Scotland, we'll do that group together. And so we did !
We're not great dancers so the dance was quite a pain to learn but we kind of managed to not totally suck.
Sharpay's costume itself is made of satine & tulle (8meters, that was a pain to sew). To my opinion, it wasn't a hard task, but that's mainly because I had to make that costume in a rush, as my sewing machine died a little time before the con, and so I had to borrow another one a week before the contest to try to finish it. That's why I can't say this costume is 100% accurate, but I don't think I'll work again on it one day.
About Ryan's costume, the only think we really made was the shirt. The details are handpainted, and I had to sew nearly 300 sparkly jewels on it (that kinda made me cry, but I'll end up thinking I LOVE feeling PAIN ;D)
I wish HSM fan'll appreciate this costume, though it's not 100% accurate, I put all my heart in this sparkly blue dress ;)
