Sayumi Michishige / Morning Musume

Oh goodness. I had to make three of these in two weeks (along with 4 other costumes) so, these were made FAST.
Basically, it's a layer of black sheer over black cotton. We used a special sheer though- bubble organza, which is practically IMPOSSIBLE to find, but it lays so pretty! It's layered over itself, almost pleated in different directions over the black cotton, and then the bubble skirt was made separately and added on.
It was really hard to figure out how to get the fabric to do what I wanted, but after I figured out how to make it, I flew through the other two. When I made the third dress, it only took me about 2 hours to finish, which is pretty freaking awesome. And good, because I was running out of time lol.
I'm making Sayumi's version of it, and because I had to make other girls costumes, I didn't have time between dance practice and sewing theirs to make my white top. So, I wore one that I already had. But my Sayu top is in progress!
The only other thing we're missing is high-heeled shoes. Due to the stage we were performing on, we didn't want to risk super high-heeled shoes cause the stage has like dents in it, and I was just imagining a girl getting caught in one and it'd be all over lol.
So, almost finished! I still need good photos of the costume~ Soon, soon!
