I've always wanted to do an Amano Artwork inspired costume, and this year, I finally felt ready to attempt one. I decided upon doing an Amano version of Rinoa, my signature character, and worked for almost a year tweaking the design until I was satisfied. I wanted it to be typical flashy Amano, but I also wanted it to remain true to Rinoa's original, simplistic look. Also, I wanted all the colors, fabrics, and beadwork to work together as one elegant, harmonious composition instead of some Amano interpretations, which just throw a bunch of random glitz together and come off looking like a drag queen and giving viewers a headache. This, the final result, is something I'm very pleased with.
