Inspiration - Manga, chapters 50 - 54

Let's face it, Ed's pretty popular. It's a difficult costume to stand out in. However, I love Arakawa's work, and the automail was proving an irresistible challenge. I really wanted to see if I could build that leg. Really, really, REALLY wanted to. And then I re-read chapters 50 - 54, when Ed gets trapped in the False Portal. Love the black outfit, love his hair, add in some shiny props, shred the pants to show off the leg - sold! Battle-damaged Ed!

The arm was an after-thought - I finished the leg months ahead of time, and needed more silver to balance out all the black. Also, I am a glutton for punishment. ^_^

Time - Five Months

Favorite Part - Automail, of course!

Hardest Part - Drafting the pattern for the leg, especially the upper calf piece.
