The coveralls, sandals, and parasol are done. All I have left to do is test my hair and make-up!
I'm really excited to cosplay Kaylee because of how cute and naive she is. I'm hoping to take some pictures involving strawberries, an apple, and probably some tools.
I've uploaded WIP pictures for your enjoyment, a practice I've never really participated in before.
I'm so happy I finished this and wore it to Penguicon 2010 not only because I won Best Presentation in their masquerade and got free 2011 Reg but because this is THE BEST COSTUME EVERRRRR. I don't have to worry about getting it dirty or about wearing it out. I don't have to sit all proper and I can be all cute and Kaylee-happy! Plus it is probably one of THE most comfortable costumes I've ever worn in the history of like ever. I loved being recognized and called out to and with my track record of costuming obscure-ish things that was just awesome. I feel like I really accomplished a goal here with this costume and I'm really glad I put so much effort into it and got a big return of fandom love<3 Thanks everybody!!
EDIT: ALL OF THE PHOTOS FROM THE "Kaylee: Home World" ALBUM WHERE TAKEN BY THE WONDERFULLY TALENTED AUDREY. She also goes by Level 67! See her website here: http://levelsixtyseven.t35.com/
Best Presentation (which equated to 2nd place apparently) in the Penguicon 2010 Masquerade.
I won the honor to be Miss April in Youmacon's 2011 calendar! Audrey Aquino was my photographer.
