The O.C.

An OC I created many years ago for a Lord of the Rings fic I'm still thinking on and fleshing out. If anyone wants to know more about her, feel free to PM me! (Like anyone cares xD')

The entire outfit I wanted to fit in with what everyone was wearing at Aragorn's coronation in the final film, hence the gown and tiara and such; not very suitable for long journeys and fights and all that jazz. The tiara was made by Lady Tyrona, who is an absolute sweetheart and didn't mind me nerding out about this character XD For the dress I wanted a noble feel to it along with being very flowy and non-constricting. I chose a pattern with long sleeves and a slight train in the dress for this purpose. I've always loved long sleeves, and I really like the way these fall and drape when I hang my arms straight.

I was very deliberate about the color and fabric I chose for this. Since Ea is a representative of the ocean (and has blue skin and hair), I wanted a lightweight dark blue fabric to contrast her (relatively) light skin color. The pattern in the fabric itself is floral, and this is to represent her "adoption" into the world of Earth-y creatures (read: the Elves). The lining inside the lower sleeves is an off-white speckled fabric I chose to bring to mind the white crests of waves as they crash on the shore. The necklace is a glass nautilus pendant I attached to a simple gold chain; I may redo this. The ring I bought (at JCPenny, of all places XD) is a white cluster of flowers with small white jewels in each center.

I'm going to get a new wig since I totally screwed up the first one and it ended up not liking me anymore. I've also ordered some new body paint, so here's hoping that works better than the liquid stuff I first got last year.
