Spider Splicer

For this costume I bought an old green prom dress from the Salvation Army. It didn't have any sleeves and the whole thing was all rouched. I think that's the right word... lots of ruffles and stuff.

Anyway, I ripped the whole thing to shreds. Used the extra fabric to make some sleeves. Ripped out all of the ruffles to make it form fitting and resized all of it. Also added the black fabric to the top and a fake flower.

Then came the fun part.

Put it on my duct-tape dress form and cut the fuck of it. I tried to place the cuts in the same place they are in the game and I think I did a damn good job. haha

I also used a metal file to fray the edges so it didn't look like a bunch of blunt cuts done with scissors.

Then I made some fake blood and took it outside and covered it. I also rubbed some of the spots together to look like smears and old pools of blood.

My friend Amanda helped me do the stockings. I couldn't seem to get them to 'run' properly. But she helped destroy those.

The hooks were made of 12 gauge wire covered in Model Magic. They looked like crap but I made them in about 15 minutes the night before the con. I am going to remake them before I wear this costume again.

This costume was a real switch from my normal stuff. I usually do happy or cute characters and this was just damn scary!!!

Oh, and my friend Mari did my excellent makeup and my friend Emily ratted the crap out of my hair!

Soooo much fun to wear!!!!!
