Final Fantasy X

Made this for a friend, now ex-friend, for her birthday. I was very happy for her to want to cosplay. This cosplay was done in two weeks, probably about four full days of work. Its pretty crappy, but hey! First full cosplay I've sewn ever.

Skirt//// Let me just say, first off, PLEATED SKIRTS ARE A BITCH. I even had to shorten the skirt, along with take it in 1430700 times. The pleats won't lie flat or behave. What is everyone's secret? I've ironed and ironed and ironed.... I've even made the skirt twice... Flowers are painted on with puffy paints. The skirt is shorter, as of my friend's request.

Obi/// Funny enough, I forgot to buy obi fabric, so my friend offered up her little girl Tarzan Jane outfit for me to rip apart. The obi is interfaced with funfoam and the designs are painted on. The bow is stuffed and velcros onto the obi.

Sleeves/// The most fun part to make. They are normal yukata sleeves lengthened a little bit, made with the same nice white fabric as the top, and dip dyed into rose pink rit dye. Turned out perfectly. Dark purple ribbon weaves in and out of button holes near the arm opening.

White top/// a very long white rectangle of very nice fabric that I don't remember what it is.

Black top/// Black cami top for modesty.

Accessories/// Earring is handmade beads. Hibiscus is cut out of funfoam, reinforced, and sealed. Gold cording was used for the ornament and handmade beads dangle on them.

Boots/// Boots found a goodwill.

Wig/// She didn't like having to get a wig.
