Silent Hill 3

Finished, but the boot soles need re-doing and a photoshoot needs to happen!
This was my first costume done completely on my own! I struggled a lot with the vest, but luckily Maria [ayareinami*YAY*] helped me pin the hood and sleeves while it was on me. She also helped pin the undershirt sleeves too. Amelia [lulubird] started dying the wig with me, but I cut and finished dying the wig to get the roots to be nice and dark.
I made the boots ENTIRELY from scratch, which to this day is probably my favorite part of the costume. I couldn't find bases that were similar enough to alter so I decided, hell why not make it myself!? I took short rainboots and sewed on funfoam to make them the right height and then I began making the boot covers. They required lots of coats of paint. I sewed the orange part for the top and painted it, then made the side straps and finally filled the gaps in the shoe bases with hot glue and painted them (because Heather's don't have typical boot soles, they are flat). How's that for accuracy!? These were about 2 entire days worth of work right before the con lol :P
This costume has a wideeee array of props:
-aged/gross lead pipe (real metal, somehow I sneak into cons with it hehe)
-Seal of Metatron (I smushed the base against concrete while it wasn't fired to get that grainy look and then did really fine detailing on the red sculpey to make it accurate...detailing fah hourz...)
-Robbie stuffed rabbit
-Flashlight (again, none were accurate enough to alter so I MADE a non-functioning one lol)
-Harry's notebook (aged the paper etc, looked at model viewer images for the words on the front and back)
-Cripsy, fresh, dead flyer from Helen's bakery
-A map of the mall
Health drink bottle (again, used model viewer images to find out what it looked like)
-Pendant (this one was hard to get the details to look nice)
-altered the watch (painted it for 100% accuracy)
