This was a really rushed cosplay, but it turned out nicely. I am definitely proud of it. It was my first cosplay that was almost 100% made by me. The only things I did not make were the white camisole, shoes, and wig. I did get a little bit of help with the dress from my friend Bridget since I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to sewing.
The leaves on my head were made out of felt and were hot glued to a thin headband. I also hot glued some brown bias tape to the headband.
The dress was just made out of yellow cotton. I made some more leaves out of felt for the back of the dress. The green circles were painted on with fabric paint, and I used pink bias tape for part of Victreebel's "mouth". I wore a white camisole underneath the dress to represent the "teeth" on the dress... and to help save me in case the dress slid down a bit. The shoes were purchased (on clearance for $2!) from Charlotte Russe a few months before I decided to do this cosplay.
The dress ended up being slightly big around the bust area, so I used some safety pins to hold the dress to the camisole.
I had to borrow the blonde wig from my friend Marissa (aka Celeste Orchid). I had my own blonde wig, but it turned out to be a disaster. Thank you, Marissa, for saving the day! =]
This was my first time being in a skit, and my first time ever being in a masquerade. I am glad that our skit won.
