Lynda Carter's TV show

Wonder Woman

this was not very hard to put together, but there were some parts that i just wanted my way and perfect... so it did take some time to achieve that.

first, i really wanted a corset top. i used a simple fashion corset pattern, but didn't follow those instructions to sew it together. i did find a good corset tutorial, and made this one following those instructions.
it ended up being a good idea!!! the corset top was tight and comfortable and stayed in place the whole time!!! =]

i also didn't want to use -for the shorts - the fabric with the printed stars. i really wanted the embroidered appliques. but... that posed a little problem. if i made the shorts out of stretchy fabric, the stars would look absolutely hideous if i sewed them on.
so... i had to make a non stretchy one!!! =S
i ended up making it with lining and an invisible ziper on the back.
i also made it high waisted so it would stay nicely tucked under the corset no matter what [i seems to me that Lynda Carter's was a one piece outfit]
it worked like a charm!!

i hand sewed every star on it, and made the belt, bracelets, and headband out of thick cotton fabric, 2 layers of interfacing and covered it with gold lame fabric.

i got the boots at a huge halloween store in NYC called masquerade!

wow!! this is new to me!!! very first time i won a costume contest!!! My wonder Woman won first place at the 1st ComiCONN on May,15 2O1O!!!
