Hope has an amusing and convoluted history. He's actually cobbled together from two complete purchased costumes: collectively the work of two Chinese factories and one slightly dishonest commissioner. Extensive rescue work was then done by myself and another commissioner. In total, he's cost me well over $500... >.<

But I'd be lying if I said I haven't had more fun in failing over and over than I usually do in succeeding on my first try.

I've learned a lot from Hope. I feel I've grown closer to him in the process... even if my image of him will forever be of an adorable little boy with ridiculously large hands.

Remade: gloves (both sets ~ the Trymax ones by me, the others by CelestialShadow);　buttons have all been replaced/upgraded, straps were added to the pants. The shrug had to be completely resewn/sewn to the jacket and shoulder pads were installed. The handkerchief/wristband was remade and the scarf has a painful amount of home-made fringe added. The pants came apart on the first wear and needed to be completely resewn before the second.

Wig: Classe's Hope character wig with a little trim, wax and some eyelash glue-down on the sides.

Shoes: Converse with handmade straps in canvas with eyelets and buckles. Soles have been repainted with black spray paint for Gundam models and retouched/detailed with black acrylic paint mixed with a fabric agent. Relaced in black.

To fix: Destroyed the shoes at Yorustar... oops. I need to make or commission accurate gloves that actually fit. Must learn to part hair on the correct side and wear pouch on the correct side (if only I could figure out which is the correct side in photographs vs. real life *confused by spatial stuff*). More wax in the back.
