Alex's undercover 'prozzie' gear from when she first arrives in 1981. The ruby slippers were bought as is, and the fur coat was altered from a thrift store find. The box is one of my all-time lucky find props, and is in fact a genuine 1953 souvenir biscuit tin from the coronation of Elizabeth II.
The dress itself used very little pattern, if any. The only true pattern piece I used was the backing and elastic guide on the lower back. The entirety of the top was draped and hand-sewn while I wore it, as I do not at this point own a dress form. The skirt has 44 hand-set eyelets up the side slits.
